The Footlight Club is run entirely by volunteers. Throughout its long history The Footlight Club has been part of the cultural fabric of Jamaica Plain and surrounding neighborhoods. Today the Footlight Club draws its membership from Jamaica Plain, other Boston neighborhoods and surrounding. Admittedly, I'd never seen the production before so I have no point of comparison but I was pretty disappointed and my expectations were not high! Poor casting. I love seeing shows here and hope they add a film series program someday! moreīeautiful, historic community theater! I attended the play In the Next Room. A terrific and underrated venue that is as historic as it is atmospheric.
